The first thing to do is turn off the monitor and disconnect it from the computer and its power source. You will then want to remove any loose dust with an anti static or very soft cloth. With more recent technology, some of you may have a plasma monitor. Fortunately, it’s pretty simple to clean these screens as well. Much like the LCD screens, how to clean a computer screen for this type of equipment is relatively simple as well. Yes, you guessed it. It’s imperative to start cleaning these monitors with a gentle wipe down with a clean cloth. Here is where things change a bit. You will want to purchase a cleaner made especially for plasma screens. This ensures that you don’t accidentally apply a cleaner with any kind of abrasive that may damage the screen. Once again, move carefully from the top of the monitor to the bottom and dry accordingly.

With these hints and tips, you should be able to clean your computer screen with confidence. Most importantly, there won’t be any need to worry about the effects of common debris on your monitor.
